Cigarette Litter Prevention Program

Keep America Beautiful and its network of affiliates (including keep Genesee County Beautiful) conducted three years of field tests in more than a dozen communities to bring you the most comprehensive, step-by-step resource for cigarette litter prevention. The Guide to Cigarette Litter Prevention was created to share knowledge, solutions, and tools communities need to reduce cigarette litter. In pilot testing by Keep America Beautiful, these strategies reduced cigarette litter an average of 46%.

The Guide to Cigarette Litter Prevention provides simple instructions, plus tips and tools to help you to develop and implement an action plan for reducing cigarette litter in your community or neighborhood. The Essential Tools section of the guide includes:
