Community Beautification Leadership Conference

The Annual Community Beautification Leadership Conference will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 8:00 – 12:30 at the University Center at UM-Flint. The registration packet will be mailed out at the end of January with the registration deadline of March 1.

Over 300 residents and concerned citizens attended last years conference. The conference was developed to provide “how-to” information and “hands-on” projects to improve the visual landscape of our community. The conference is free to the public and all interested parties are invited to attend this “one-of-a kind” conference designed to encourage, educate and engage the community in the ongoing clean up and beautification of Genesee County”.

In addition to the conference, residents are also invited to attend the first Graffiti Summit to be held immediately following the conference. Interested attendees must register in advance for the summit. The Citizens Nuisance Task Force will discuss how they are developing this pilot project in the City of Flint for replication in any community. The presentation will also include information on the “graffiti hotline”, the “graffiti irradication team” and sign up for graffiti removal kits.
