"changing the world one gift at a time"

Based on the old adage that “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure”, the Genesee county Freecycle network’s goal is to connect people who are looking to discard and acquire items.

Established in November 2003 and hosted by Yahoo, the Genesee County Freecycle board serves the Genesee County community. Signing up to be a part of the group is simple. Go to the Genesee County Freecycle Network’s web site to find directions: Here

The Genesee County Freecycle Network is modeled after the Tucson Freecycle Network, founded in March 2003, and created by the nonprofit group “Downtown Don’t Waste It”. This first initiative has sparked a worldwide “Freecycling” revolution. There are hundreds of cities and several countries involved thus far.

To visit the home of the “Freecycling” movement, go to www.freecycle.org

Also keep in mind other organizations who accept new and or gently used items such as Goodwill Industries, Salvation Army or St. Vincent.
