Ruth Mott Beautification Mini Grants

Each year Keep Genesee County Beautiful awards beautification mini-grants to eligible organizations to improve the visual landscape of Genesee County. Eligible organizations include block clubs, neighborhood associations, service clubs, nonprofit organizations and governmental entities.

Beautification grants are awarded in amounts up to a maximum of $500. Priority is given to initiatives that include one or more of the following elements:

Clean up, litter and/or graffiti removal and prevention
Beautification through flower, shrub, tree planting
Minimization of waste through recycling efforts
Other requirements as identified on a year to year basis

Application requirements, criteria and additional information are available in mid February each year. Specific training and information on how to fill out the application is offered each year at the annual Community Beautification Leadership Conference held on the first Saturday of March. Applications are due by mid March, awarded in mid April and start on May 1. All projects must be completed by October 15.
